About me
Hello! I'm Abigail Tata, an enthusiastic data professional based in Washington, DC. Currently, I'm pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science with a focus on Business Analytics at American University, with an expected graduation in the summer of 2024.
My journey in data analytics began as a Project Analyst Intern, where I delved into analyzing software developers' productivity in app development. This experience sharpened my skills in data collection, analysis, and visualization, providing valuable insights into optimizing workflow efficiency and project management strategies. As a Data Analyst contractor for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), I independently conducted diverse data analysis projects. These included analyzing Wrong Surface Landings, Traffic Advisory Safety Alerts, Position Relief Briefings, and Performance-based Communication and Surveillance. Through meticulous data analysis and the creation of comprehensive dashboards and reports, I contributed significantly to enhancing aviation safety within United States and oceanic airspaces, delivering insights directly to FAA employees.
Beyond data analytics, I'm an avid New England sports fan, closely tracking their progress. I also love exploring DC's vibrant neighborhoods, discovering new restaurants, and embarking on adventures to new destinations whenever possible. Additionally, I cherish spending quality time with my family and playing with my golden retriever, Bleu. In my leisure time, I love photography, video games, watching mystery TV shows, and writing and playing music with my guitar.
On this site, you'll find a collection of data analytics and research projects, spanning both my undergraduate and graduate studies. These projects showcase my proficiency in both research topics and extracting valuable insights from datasets effectively communicating them through academic papers. I encourage you to explore my transcripts and resume, and reach out to discuss potential collaborations or opportunities where my skills can contribute to your organization's success.
